What access do kids have to their savings account?
Kids can access their savings account in person and online. We offer online access so you can learn to save together. With a signed Parental Guarantee, kids can sign in and check their balance online 24/7 with their own SMB Online ID and password. If they have more than one account, they can make transfers too.
How do kids make a deposit?
The most exciting way to make a deposit is in the branch where they can visit the treasure chest and pick out a prize! Deposits can also be made to their savings by transfer from another account, mobile deposit, or by mailing a check to us directly.
Online options require a signed Parental Guarantee.
What access do adults have to the child's savings account?
As joint owner on the savings, you can have the savings account added to your SMB Online and access it with your own SMB Online ID and password. You can transfer money, set up an automatic savings transfer, and manage account details - all from one login.
What should we bring to open a savings account?

How many withdrawals are allowed per month?
Savings accounts have a limit of six withdrawals per month. This includes online transfers out of the account.
What happens to the Moola Moola savings when the child turns 14?
When a Moola Moola Kid turns 14, their account is converted into a Regular Savings account. The minimum balance and monthly service fee will not apply until their 19th birthday.
